Free Meditation – How To Meditate for Beginners

Hello to Everybody!

In this posts portion I will guide you through easy meditation exercises – which is good for everybody – for beginners and experienced persons. I found them very usefull for practising a way to inner silence – which is first step to spiritual grow. And I share these meditations for free and for everybody. I hope you will enjoy it as I do :)

You can start practising these exercises with free meditation music I described in the last post. They are proven to be very good for persons having problems with silencing their monkey mind.

OK, here we go:

The idea of the exercises is to tear you off of looped thinking process and give your mind some breath to release, relax and enjoy  being more free and silenced.

Find some time (about 1 hour) in a peacefull place. It might be very important for beginners to find such place, because disturbing and annoying noises, movement going on around, etc. would take them away from meditation subject. For advanced persons everything would be a meditation subject (I will write more later), so they might not need such place at all. Take care on lights to be not too bright, take care on sounds to be quieting – not disturbing.

Maybe some opening in the forest that you like, or a room where nobody would disturb you. Or a walk in the park early in the morning?

I was experiencing problems with sleeping for a long time because I was meditating in the evening, lying in bed. Yes, it becomes a habit not to fall asleep if you will meditate in the evening or at night. So, better for your dreams is to meditate in the morning, when you just woke up.

Sit somewhere. This could be a chair, grass (in the forest), floor  or your bed. Some experienced persons would like to meditate in almost any position – lying, standing, sitting, walking, running. For beginners it would be very disturbing. I think beginners should start from sitting meditation. So, sit the way you feel comfortable. It is quite important for beginners to feel comfortable in your position. If you feel better standing – that’s OK. Just give yourself a try – it always take some time to find the best position for you.
If you are sitting you need to have your back straight – try to bend your trunk a little to each side, so you will find the best and most comfortable position for you.

Place your hands on your thighs. Remember not to let them fall a sleep there :) – your hands must be ready to move up at any moment. They are not sleeping there – they are waiting for action.

What about your eyes? This depends on exercise you choose. I will write about them in the next post. For now – just meet points that are described above and be patient. Giving some feedback would be very motivating :)

See you in next part! Oh, btw, just found a solution that might speed up your meditation progress. Check it here.
