Free Meditation Articles: Mantra Meditation
Today about mantras and mantra meditation. Let’s go!
Simply, mantra is sound you chant when you exhale over and over. This sound usually has very specific vibration. We may use mantras for chakra stimulation.
OK, let’s try simple mantra called OM.You can do it this exercise standing, sitting at your desk or lying in bed. Just stop your work for a moment and take some deep, relaxing breaths. Feel you heart beat… it works all the time, day and night… think about whole your body. Silent your thoughts and feel yourself here and now.
Now, as you exhale chant the mantra LAMĀ (loudly or just in your mind). Llaaaaaaaaaaaaaammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm…… and while are you doing this move your atention down to the first chakra and concentrate on it until you are out of breath. And as you inhale move your atention from first chakra throught your body up to your head.
Now, your chant sounds like VAM and you are concentrated on your second chakra. And move your atention up through your body as you inhale. Hold your breath for a moment when you are back at top.
Now you chant mantra RAM and focus on solar plexus chakra. When you are empty again move your atention from that chakra through your body up to pate of your head and over.
Again hold your breath when you are up. And chant YAM while focusing on fourth chakra. Hold on when you are empty again and inhale slowly as your atention moves back through your body to your head.
Hold on and feel your throat chakra. Slowly exhale and chant HAM… feel all five chakras while you are inhaling…
Now concentrate on your brow chakra and chant OM while you exhale… and as you inhale feel your lower chakras up to your third eye.
Last breath is dedicated to the crown chakra. Visualize ray of beautiful light coming down through that chakra and through whole your body… exhale and chant… nothing. There is only silence in your mind. Let this light fill all your “here and now”.
Continue breath as you like to. Enjoy the silence that become part of your life.
